Ukrainian Fashion Week S/S 2015

Ukrainian Fashion Week was held for the first time in November 1997. It became the first professional fashion event in Eastern Europe. It is a unique event in Ukraine that corresponds entirely to the world standards for prêt-a-porter shows, takes place twice a year, gathers more than 40 participants, accredits more than 150 Ukrainian and international mass media and is attended by over 25000 guests every time.
In 2003 projects “New Names” and Fresh Fashion were founded as a part of Ukrainian Fashion Week in order to search for and support talented youth. During the time of their existence these projects provided continuous inflow of “new blood” into Ukrainian fashion and presented UFW with a reputation of discoverer of young talents.
Every year under the guidance of Ukrainian Fashion Week a series of projects important for Ukraine is held: Best Fashion Awards (the First Ukrainian Awards in the field of fashion), Holiday Fashion Week (cruise collections and beach accessories shows that take place in Odessa) and Ukrainian contest of young fashion designers “Fashion Seasons – a Look into the Future”. Inviting renowned couturiers to Ukraine has become a tradition – in 2009 and 2010 Elie Saab and Stephane Rolland presented their Haute Couture collections in Ukraine as a part of UFW..
Ukrainian Fashion Week is the only officially recognized Prêt-a-Porter Week in Ukraine that occupies an honorable place in international fashion industry.
